Waki Jaki's Weblog

If lost in a moment, you find me
I know I've found my home,
Safe here in your arms Lord..
Let my words speak from that place;
Place of grace and rest...and realness.

Car Accident (AKA PRIASE GOD WE ARE ALIVE!)

We were nearly home on Christmas day, just stopping to grab something simple for dinner (chicken we were after) when we were turning and were hit by  a driver who ran a red light. Side on. Passenger door was jammed. I was stuck in the car for a bit.

I want to make really clear that we are ok... bruised and a little more than sore, but ok. Praising God for life :) and that says alot.

God saved our lives - it could have been so much worse, a little faster, or a little further back on the door and we might not have come out of it so well.

But we are without a car. So please pray that we get one soon - I am too sore to do much walking and am tired really easily (Ive had 2 naps today) and really just need this break anyhow.

But God is good. He saved us from something far worse.
Prayers for the kid driving the other vehicle... he was a young guy, and it was driver error. He was not speeding, and was not (as far as we know) drunk or anyhting and he did stop. So I am hoping he is alright and that he drives more carefully from now on.

Family and Christmas

Or is it just me and changes? I don't know.

Christmas (celebrated on Friday with family) is going to be at a different time than first planned. I am not so good at being the person who changes- not so good when someone changes my plan.
I had a panic attack today as well - in a shop with crowds. I know I just need to get over it. I know I just need to accept it. I just need to make it happen.
Build a bridge.. thats what I need to do.

Why is it bugging me so much anyhow?
I know I don't have any other plans particularly.

I'm a control freak. Yes this is a blog of confessions. Id prefer to be in complete control of situations.... and here I am not.
Im not really whinging about family.. but just that I dont know what to do to get this.. I dont know what to do in a crowded room anyhow. 10 adults is a lot of people to me.

Anyhow.. *sigh* just building a bridge...
